TunerproRt..It Works!
TunerproRt..It Works!
Freezing cold outside, so I decided to take the plunge and download TunerproRT... Must admit, it is a bit overwhelming.
I have information in the dashboard, But it is a bit erratic. Is this normal? it is kind of jumpy.
Can't wait to get out and take this thing for a ride and do some datalogging..I seem to have a bit of a lean condition as the BLM's were at 146 at idle..I suspected this, the exhaust really stinks and sticks to your clothes.

Re: TunerproRt..It Works!
Is there a setting somewhere that I need to adjust to stop the data from being so jumpy??
I can't seem to find any information on this problem. This is a 165 ECM. The data never stops but it is very glitchy the whole time.

Re: TunerproRt..It Works!
Look on the Tuner Pro site, there are some fixes there.
There is one that is a latency adjustment of the com port in the device manager.
Another is to add a delay to the silence command.

Re: TunerproRt..It Works!
The 165 ECM is such a slow processor that it can't keep up with the changes so it reports them sporadically. I'd suggest upgrading to a later ECM for your TPI.
Re: TunerproRt..It Works!
If I were to go with a later ECM , I would jump right to an ls...but thats really not an option for me at this time..besides it runs terrific and I really don't have a clue what I'm doing yet with regards to data logging and tuning..baby steps..
I played with some of the port settings and it seems like the only glitchy one is the maf..it seems to have helped.

Re: TunerproRt..It Works!
I'm not familiar with tuner pro but I can tell you that data stream on most any vehicle is sporadic with slow refresh rate. The way we get around this on a scan tool is by using custom data and selecting just the PIDs that we need to see for the issue we are working on. By reducing the number of PIDs displaying, the refresh rate is much better. At 4 PIDs it's realtime. Try this if you can.
