Are the stock "chips" programmed to provide more fuel during a clod start (1989 5.7 GTA) than when warmed up? I am suspecting I might have bad injectors, but before I drop a bill I am trying to make good sense of this aspect of the program inside the "chip." Thanks

Secondly, would you need to reprogram for 24lb. injectors? I would think they would be fine as 22lb replacements, but....

 

The 89 $6e mask tunes have cold start enrichment up to 240f as well as idle rpm vs coolant temperature.If your injectors look like these toss them as fast as you can. If the eprom has not been reprogramed for a larger injector stick with a 22#hr or tune accordingly.
