Ms2 problem

Guys,

I was searching for some ms2 info and found this forum, saw that there are a lot of megasquirt users here so I hope you can help me.

I've been trying to get my car running on an ms2 v3. It is a 1985 camaro iroc-z 305 tpi. stock plenum and manifold are replaced by a small eaton blower. Rest of the sensors, HEI 7pin, etc is stock. I'm not using the MAF and Knock sensor(yet).

problem is that the engine coughs and rumbles when i try to start it but it never catches enough to run.

I've got a descent spark and injection on all 8 cilinders, fuel pressure is good and stable. I tried several cranking pulsewidths and prime pulses but it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference, if I set them too high the plugs are wet but otherwise the engine coughs (i believe from all eight cilinders) and the center of the plugs are dry but the thread is a bit wet.

So,
Is there anyone with a similar setup who can help me with a msq so i can check if I missed something. Or a picture of the ms board so i can check if i got all the right jumpers and stuff solderd on there.
Really need help here, i'm kind of stuck...
tried to post my msq and a log file but it sais invalid file???

I'm going to PM you my email address. If you can send me your MSQ tune file I would be glad to look it over.

I want to help but I'm not sure if I can. I have run MegaSquirt I and now I run MegaSquirt III. I have never used MegaSquirt II, I own one but MSIII came out before I had the time to try it. I also have never used MS on a forced induction car but I would think that the startup would be the same at least... PM me I can give you my email. There is a guy that might still be on the MS boards, his name is Lance, he runs MegaSquirt and has had it in almost any configuration on small block chevys. May also give anesthsis a try, I think he runs MSII and a super charger.

Re: Ms2 problem

Probably throttle blades are not cracked open enough. IAC code on ms2extra doesn't control idle speed until open loop. It's simply steps vs coolant temperature at warmup.
