Noid light on IAC

Can anyone explain to me what I can expect to see when I use a noid light on my IAC? I bought the complete set that includes the IAC noid lights but the instruction don't say one thing about operation of them. A noid on an injector is a no brainer but the red & green lights on the IAC tester is confusing. What can I expect to see the noid do when I plug it in & start the engine? I am having issues with IAC operation and I need to see if it is moving correctly.

Re: Noid light on IAC

I will take a guess how I think it works, Please someone educate me if im incorrect. With the key on and a to b jumpered both leds will be the same color. When the jumper is removed and you are doing a cold start the iac would be commanded out 160 steps so both colors would be the opposite from commanded in but still the same colors. at a warm idle the iac is hunting some so the leds will flicker alternate colors. Since the iac has a brake when the flickering is going on the a and b coils of the iac are different in led color. This is just a guess Im am not positive on this information.
