16146299 to 747 ecm ?

currently my truck has the one year 16146299 this is found on the 5.7 tbi trucks with the nv4500 trans

im pretty sure my ecm is bad again , i was able to find a replacement ecm the first time and after putting it in my truck ran good for about a day now its back to running pig rich stalling and surging idle

ive been threw all the sensors they are good

since this ecm is so hard to find i was wondering about doing the 747 swap
is the 747 a plug and play swap or do i need to swap some pins around

Checked the ECM wiring for a '92 C2500 PU and it matched the '7747 ECM wiring for a '90 pickup.

The 747 is a direct plug and play in place of the 299.

Re: 16146299 to 747 ecm ?

they only had one truck/ecm and it was the 299 so i didnt get it, going to wait till i can get my hands on a 747, if all else fails i may just install the second megasquirt unit i picked up in the truck.
i figure i have about a month before the snow starts falling , so i have a lil bit of time to get the truck fixed, cause im sure as hell not driving the twin turbo iroc around in the snow

You can usually pickup a 747 on ebay for $50-60 just check the bcc of the prom before you buy and get one for a 5.7l manual trans.
