406sbc HSR factory tune? will it work

406sbc HSR factory tune? will it work

Alright i have a 88 irocz 305tpi iam in the process of building a 400sbc 30 over.. so far i have bought the weiand stealth ram kit, afr 195 heads 65cc, xfi 280 retro fit hydraulic roller cam 280 288 duration @50: 230 236 valve lift 576..eagle rotating assembly all forged mahle dish pistons, h beam rods 6 inch and a forged crank... Will it all work with factory tune till I have it dyno or will I need a aftermarket chip

Will it run? Probably. Is it a good idea. Prolly not. You can prolly get it to start and run enough to move the car around, maybe even be able to take it down the road, it won't be correct and be cautious you don't damage the engine. I was able to run my 358 build with a Fastchip prom from the 305. Would start, and actually idle once up to temp, but would want to stall after coming down from any kind of aggressive throttle input. Now working through the EBL process

Mine is SD. It should run. Just be cautious.
