MAPS ??

A little off topic. But is it illegal to share MAPS?? I mean DFI is a tool and everbody who has it can make it's own map's, like everybody with AFPR can make/share their fuelpressure settings so why cant we share our settings in the DFI unit??

I want to compare my ign.curvo (for a zz9 camshaft) with someone else and see if they are diffrent.

Can we maybe maka a database for some 'MAP s or it this illegal?

No, it's not illegal. Unfortuneately, a lot of people work hard (or pay good money) for their files, and don't like to share. My old MAPs are available on my site. The ignition curve is lousy because I was fighting a constant "noise" that was setting off the knock sensor. (Broken valve springs...). I haven't updated it in a while. I'd like to see some curves, too. Not to copy, of course, everyones will be different, but just to get reference from.

It's far better to start with an oem one. Looking at anyones else's is more then likely going to lead you down the wrong path.
First off you'll be assumiing that they had enough experience to know what they were doing. There are lots of folks that called themselves knowledgable that are really clueless about things.

there is no fast and easy way to work out timing for fuel maps. Making mistakes is often how you learn the most with calibrations. Go slowerly, and take lots of notes, and you'll get there. The first few hundred changes just take time to get the hang of.
