Re: NEED TUNING HELP.

You need to save the modified .bin then burn. The datalog in cl will help you make necessary changes to fueling or spark. But not wot your int and blm will lock.

Re: NEED TUNING HELP.

Stock programming is based on 5v at 255 gps wot. Idle should set to around 7-8 gps. The only maf capable I know of that will go higher is blowerworks 510 gps.

I would assume the granantelli would max out at 255 gps.

Re: NEED TUNING HELP.

the blowerworks one needs all kinds of custom wires at ecu switching
and a new bin file to run it

I emailed the gran ppl and they told me 30% more flow and they said it has a low tuning **** only
I read the ins online and it showed a low and wot tuning ****

its good for fine tuning

but I need someone to look at the papers and give me a yes im right

im not blowing 500 on something that doesn't work

I have a apex I sfac old piggy back computer

I can trick the mass by putting in 30lbs hr and I have it set for 24lb hr now

20% less

I have a wideband and I can tune it

my factory is 0-5vdc factory mass wire to computer is that right

or is it freq

if I tested the wire with my meter is it freq or vol

Re: NEED TUNING HELP.

Why don't you just tune your maf tables ?
A procharger will not come close to maxing out the stock maf. I have recently tuned a 305 man trans. 30#hr injectors with the $6e mask.

Re: NEED TUNING HELP.

Completely lost at the end goal here, all these changes but none in the ECM. If you're not making any changes to the engine, if you're not adding a power adder, then why do you need a MAF to flow greater than 255 g/sec w/out touching the MAF tables, and why do you need larger injectors? For what?

... a new bin file because the changes need to be made in the ECM to go higher than 255 g/sec, otherwise you just have yourself a larger MAF sensor for no other reason than to just have one. Same thing with the MAF Translator, it allows you to upgrade to a newer and larger MAF sensor, but without the extender chip that goes with it, all you have is a newer MAF sensor harnessed into a 5V system, albeit still reading up to 255 g/sec because of the factory ECM.

What is your end goal?

Re: NEED TUNING HELP.

I have a 305 now that got 275 engine hp and 375 tq last year

my comp was all low and even to
so I am in the process of building a 383 stroker motor
and I have 24 lb inj now in the car
I also have a weiand stealth ram intake for it to

and Im converting from t5 to t56

I just don't want to log it and blow the engine
and if the loger cable let me do it I would do it myself.

i just don't want to go lean

im getting built alum heads to

I have a friend with this engine in his c4. Stock maf 32#hr injectors and a edelbrock pro flow intake. Works great easy to tune.

Re: NEED TUNING HELP.

I already bought wiseco 10-1 forged pistons
scat 750hp rods
scat stroker crank
and my 350 lt1 hot cam
and the alum heads are being built here
and new arp everything

and the weiand stealth ram intake

I know my 24lb inj will support up to 430 engine hp max
and 30 will do 520 hp max

so i am just wondering if the stock mass setup will be ok for that tuned
tune

the guy who burned me the chip now lives far away and it takes weeks for shipping
down time car isn't running

That's only if you increase your fuel pressure up to 55-psi in both scenario's, creating 27# and 33# injectors respectively, and even then you're talking about a 100% duty cycle. You need 42# injectors to run that much power comfortably at an 80% duty cycle. I would focus on your fueling first, and MAF sensors later. The stock MAF isn't the restriction, the ECM calibration is. The diameter of the MAF, intake and throttle body effects your RPM band, less restriction raises it. Doesn't mean the factory MAF can't handle the power needs, it just won't be as efficient as others.

Here's a good read on injectors and pw.
