DFI timing won't go below 10 degrees

I followed the directions in the Calmap manual to set the timing. Tried to put it at 8 deg but it goes down to 10 deg after warm up (on the view screen) and stays there. I didn't know what to do next so I set the dist so the mark hits at 10 deg.

The entire timing file is set to 8 deg and the idle spark is zeroed.

Anybody got any guesses as to why?

Thanks

I thought I answered this, but aparently it didn't go thru. Anyhow...

You need to get the idle up over 1200 or 1500RPM for the table to take full control. Otherwise I believe the ESC module is adding timing.

Thanks RCR, you probably did address that issue already but I didn't see it. I should've done a search first I guess.

No complaint to you Dave. I thought I answered your post previously, but when I checked it later, my answer wasn't there.

I thought if you zero'ed idlespark you didn't need to raise the RPM to get the timing?

I think I tried that and it didn't make a difference. I think I read somewhere in one of the manuals I downloaded that you need to bring the RPM up. If I sound a little unclear, I am. I was thinking, can the spark advance plug be disconnected like on the stock ECM to do the timing? (The connector by the pass. side shock tower).
