Speed limiter?

Speed limiter?
I have an 89 Firebird base model 305 that has a speed limiter on it, it only allows me to hit 88 mph and I would prefer if it didn’t. Does anyone know what year didn’t have speed limiters that I can get a chip out of to put in mine? I had one but it broke and the new one I got came out of an 88 and doesn’t let me go any faster. I also have an 89 Camaro RS with the 2.8 v6, do the v6’s also have them?

Speedometer must be off Tbi ? 108 mph cut off tpi 125, can disconnect Vss to ecm to prevent cut off or change in the tune.

You can setup a rpm
or speed limiter in the tune but depends on the tune what cut off came factory 90-92 aujp tune has cut off of 254mph.
