Surge at Cruise

Experiencing very noticeable surging during cruise with a steady pedal - TPS typically ~5%, otherwise it runs fine. Studying logs and all I'm seeing jump around near the surging are the NB O2 readings, no AE no Decel and not a wide range of WB AFRs readings. Anyway it's on the market and I'm trying to work out the kinks. Looking for some direction on where to look for clues on how to resolve.

Advised to jack VE and lower SA in the surging ranges - I did but no improvement noticed.

Running closed loop. Some info - "84 Crossfire Corvette, 383 Stroker, Aluminum Heads, Headman Headers, Renegade Manifold, 90# Injectors, Vacuum Referenced Fuel Pressure Regulator (FP set @28), DUI AMC Street/Strip Distributor, MSD 6A Capacitive Discharge Module, Dynamic EFI Programmable Tuning ECM

Thanks.

Re: Surge at Cruise

Must have phrased this wrong based on lack of responses. I have BINs where surging is not an issue but overall not as well performing. I'll keep plugging away at and comparing logs. Will post solution if I stumble on it. Meantime it's on cargurus....

Re: Surge at Cruise

Just a follow-up on this mess - After I changed the spark plug wires and went back to the stock HEI Ignition (was an MSD Capacitive Discharge with DUI HEI coil) the surging went away. Why? No clue. Also virtually eliminated frequent knock counts at high RPM and load. ...and it idles mucho better. Go figure... BTW could not feel any change (decline) in performance.

Save $$$ keep your stock HEI?? Yeah, maybe... could have been the old wires though that were causing the issues.
