Mixing Memcal PROM and Calpack Chips
Mixing Memcal PROM and Calpack Chips
The car is a 1988 IROC 1227165 - LB9 - 5 Speed - AKFW
Trying to piece together a Memcal with a ZIF socket, from parts on hand, to avoid buying anything.
I had a 1986 AUM LB9 Auto Memcal that had been ruined on the PROM side. Calpack side is good. And a 1987 AMJW LN8 2.5L Memcal in useable condition.
As you can see, I was able to solder on the ZIF socket.
Presumably the LN8 Calpack will not work with the LB9.
Question is, will compute if I use the Calpack portion from the AUM on the (tuned) AKFW?
thanks for looking.
