1988 Corvette ECM & VATS removal

I recently rebuilt the upper half of the engine in my 88 Vette, I removed the TPI system and went with an ACES EFI. I know the the car had a VATS delete done to the ECM but the ECM has been removed (the car was a victim of Hurricane Ian). My question is do I have to rewire the electronics to prevent the system from looking for something that is no longer there? I haven't physically removed the VATS yet but the ECM is gone.
