They're plagued with problems. Wideband to injector drivers to straight up failing. More times than not people buy these systems without knowing what they're buying and expect Holley to give them personalized support all while paying the lowest dollar they can get away with. You get what you pay for with these things.

Yeah ive heard a few issues with terminator based systems and not sure why that is. Hell i have seen issues with dominator, my buddy had one go bad. Holley didnt know what was wrong and wouldnt elaborate just sent a new one. I heard they had quality issues post 2016 but other guys have been using the hp and dominator well. But not really a budget system
doing work yourself with efi connection parts the 0411 is likely cheapest upgrade to 80’s electronics lol but hptuners is its own world and requires abit of a learning curve to use and understand. It works tho
ive had both 0411 and holley hp now. Both are nice and offer cool features. Holley is easier to use imo

Have you looked at the fast EFI TPI system?

Lots of folks i know from carshows and i mean almost all of them to be honest are having problems or have replaced their Holley Snipers. I just wonder how good this Aces FI systems are doing?

Just do a pro flow XT. No BS, it works awesome. It's my second edelbrock setup that's been awesome. I also have friends w them and they're happy w them. They tune up awesome on the dyno also.

I love my sniper system unfortunately they had a run of bad units at one point. All my complaints about the Gen one were addressed in the generation 2 but I don't plan to upgrade
Re: For a daily driver- any experiance with a decent value priced system?
I don't plan on installing or tuning any unit- local shop for that, and he prefers Holley. I do have an obscure efi in my old Toyota- lesson learned about tuning support.
- I've heard that they had unit quality issues in the later 2000 teens.
- and I know their support is the worst, including legacy products.
The Haltech Rebel had looked ok but the 4L60E support is strange.

Always buy a system that's got good support and that tuners will actually want to tune.

Re: For a daily driver- any experiance with a decent value priced system?
When I had my car tuned 2 months ago it was by 2 guys. One was an ex FI tech employee and the two of them have been in the industry since the early 2000s. They both felt like edelbrock and Holley were pretty comparable as far as tuning. They said both platforms at this point are pretty awesome. They said FI tech was a close runner up. Obviously you need someone comfortable tuning what ever platform you go with. I haven't heard any positive things about the cheaper systems. Where ever you save money on a lesser system you'll likely make up for it in problem solving and tuning misery.
