TunerPro RT and ADX file question

Is there an adx file for early IROCs, one I dont need to convert? I have a 86 305 TPI. TunerPro site has an ads file and I tried to convert to adx file extension but still get the parsing error. I’m thinking Inhave to use an earlier version of TunerPro RT that can use the ads file extension.

'86 IROC 5.0 TPI with AT I assume. 190hp version of LB9 with cold start injector.
ECM should be: '165 (1227165)
Mask should be: $32

Re: TunerPro RT and ADX file question

Same files I use for $32, you might consider updating to $6E
especially if it’s AUM broadcast code.

once I get this to work, I will consider the upgrade. What’s entailed? New ECU or just flashing with the updated file?

Re: TunerPro RT and ADX file question

You are correct, it’s the 1227165 ECU and likely has never been accessed or altered. I will attempt the the files today. Thank you so much
for the assist.

Re: TunerPro RT and ADX file question

If it’s aum, APYM or similar bin could be burned. Just do vats delete and fan switch setting change. Same ecm you will then be running $6E .

Does that take care of the csi or does it need to be physically disabled?

Re: TunerPro RT and ADX file question

The csi can leak so it’s better to delete. You can get a kit off eBay. If it doesn’t leak you can just unplug it.

Re: TunerPro RT and ADX file question

Not sure what I am doing wrong, maybe I should reach out to Tunerpro RT for support. I cant seem to get the adx file to work like other adx files. I will explain: I used a corvette adx file and it pulls up this dashboard on the screen and connects to my ECM. Granted the data is not accurate, but it does show that it connects and monitors data. The camaro adx (thank you very much btw!) doesn't do anything. does not connect and just shows trying to connect. Any suggestions? I will reach out to TunerproRT as well just in case the actual problem exists between the keyboard and the chair!

Actually thinking maybe using the older version of RT?

Re: TunerPro RT and ADX file question

Another reason I don’t like $32, if cable is detected and com is higher than 1 and your in 10k mode on the aldl it should attempt to connect. It seems $6e connects better but the 165 is a pita to get a connect and keep it.

Re: TunerPro RT and ADX file question

I kinda gave up trying to get this to connect until I can get my car started. I have crank no start issue. Only things I have not swapped or tried yet is the cold start injector, Electronic Spark Module and replacing the MAF. Everything else has been checked and tested or verified to be working ie fuel pressure, timing, ignition system, grounding, wire condition, relays, injectors, ECM (as you know), fuses etc.
Ill keep you posted and suggestions are welcomed. For a seocnd, I was hopeful thinking this car had VATS but I dont think it does. Would make sense as to why it cranks but wont start.
