Noob TunerPro Definition file in need
Noob TunerPro Definition file in need
Hey All, I just acquired an 87 GTA Tran Am with a 5.7 that has not ran in some time. I replaced the fuel pump and got it running but it still needs some help. I purchased a cable an all from Moates but after downloading TunerPro I went to gab the definition file so I could ding in deeper and found that the file I need A028 there is no link to a file. What do folks in this situation do? I did a google search and went to a few other websites but I'm not coming up with anything. Very new to thins type of stuff and more than willing to learn but maybe I am missing something?
Thanks

Not sure about just fine, the 1227165 is a pita to connect to $32 and $32B seems easier with 89 based tune and $6E.

I was able to get connected! thanks for your help, even though the com port was set up correctly I was not connecting to the car. I switched to another com port and after I figured out I needed toggled the 10k

I was able to configure some of the information, still learning. Nothing has stood out to me yet as a red flag. Any input on what’s a normal range for the O2 it was all over the spectrum and I just replaced that based off of pulling codes with a paper clip prior to the cable.

Iac steps seem high so does maf reading.
Re: Noob TunerPro Definition file in need
Car is stock other than an old stage one Jet chip as far as I can tell. I also replaced the MAF sensor as it was throwing 33/34 codes when I first got the car to run. spark plugs were black like a rich condition. Thoughts on what path to head down? you mentioned hi counts on the IAC and the MAF, what in you opinion could cause that? When connected to the car with TunerPro it did seem to pickup idle and I was driving a bit with the cable connected. I will scan the forums and see what I can learn rather than keep bothering you for info. Thanks for the help thus far though!

Re: Noob TunerPro Definition file in need
Assuming this picture was idle maf gps should be closer to 6. With minimum idle speed set iac steps warm engine will be closer to 20-25 steps . Might have to open throttle blades then readjust tps. Can use tp to see data and adjust or set minimum idle speed with iac command in and unplugged. Not sure on the maf reading any rip in the bellows ?
Re: Noob TunerPro Definition file in need
I believe I grabbed this while I was out driving and came to a stop and it was at idle and snapped a pic. I will have to double check the bellows but believe that there are no rips or holes. I know that the report back is slow when it comes to data. I noticed when I went to test the tps it took a few seconds for it to register on the laptop. I will have to do some investigating and maybe regrab some data and repost later today.
