F. A. S. T. Electronics?
I am considering purchasing the new F. A. S. T. Bank to bank system for my 92 camaro, but there has not been much press coverage on this system for 3rd gen F-bodys. So my question is. Does anybody have any experiance with this system, especially with a 91 or 92 camaro? Is this system a stand alone system or a piggy back with the stock ECM? Will this system controll a speedometer and tach with the stock electronic speed sensor? (the old version of Accel DFI did not) Does this system controll a inline fuel pump voltage in coralation with throttle position?
Any type of info will be greatly appreciated. I'd hate to drop some major change and not have do what I need.

I don't believe even their latest have a converter lockup program. You'd have to run it in addition to your oem one.
I'm impressed with FAST.
I've talked to alot of ecm manufacturers, and they really have their act together. Craig Smith and Lance Ward hang out at the turbobuick.com list in the aftermarket area.
For the ultimate in ignition systems be sure to look at the eDIST. It's expensive to set up, but boy is it nice. What people continually ignore is that at 6K RPM, your out of time to saturate the coil, and most take the option of going to a CD ignition system, but the trade off is much less firing amperage (that's why they HAVE to use a multispark strategy at lower rpm). With eDIST you run EIGHT ignition coils like the LS1s. So then you have all the time in the word for charging the coils and at high rpm have lots of RESERVE voltage, and plenty of AMPERAGE which is what governs spark duration.
Just a few notes on a really huge subject.
I am very happy with my system and can tell you that there is no problem with running it on the street. They do have the ability to control lock up with the new systems. The ease of tuning with this system makes it well worth the price. You would be better off asking more questions on chevytalk.com Go to the fuel injection forum. Craig smith answers questions there.
