I have just bought the pocket programmer 2 and I have installed the software and I have windows 98. The problem is that everytime I try to open the software my computer shuts down and restarts. Like I turn it off and on again. Any ideas what I can do to fix the problem??

 

First I'd check to be sure there are no other programs running in the background that could be causing a software conflict, which sounds like what you are seeing. Then update your computer with all the latest drivers.

Well the problem is that i receved it all on tues and tried to install tues night. Then the comp locked up and the hard drive crashed, i lost everything. I just got it back yesterday and I reinstalled it and now it just shutsdown when I try to open it with no other programms running like aol ect.

 

Anybody have any ideas???

 

What operating system are you using on the computer? What brand of computer is it? Did you get actual windows disks or did you get "branded" recovery disks with the computer?

If you got a "real" windows disk, I'd f-disk, format and reinstall windows, it sounds like you maybe got a corrupt install of windows.

I have figured out my problem. I had purchased a serial port card for my pc and the software/card has crashed my hard drive. i took it to gateway for repaires and they told me the card will not work. But when I get it back it is installed . I was still having problems so I took the damn thing out and plugged the pp2 into the printer port and EVERYTHING except winbin works.
