A/c clutch is messing with my injectors
I understand that when the a/c is on their is a seperate target idle speed BUT what is up with the clutch engaging? When the clutch engages my injectors deliver a very noticable amount of extra fuel, a pump shot if that's what you'd call it. The idle goes up and down, up and down from about 850 to over 1000. I'm going to double check the MAP but I have a hard time believing that the clutch would make THAT much of a difference, but I'm probably wrong, lol.
Hmmm...I think I just figured it out before I even posted!
It's gotta be the pump shot from the differential MAP table.
I must have the intial value too high, 0% change is 167usec but 20kpa change is 671. I'm going to change those values to 0 just to see if that makes the difference (no driving, just sitting at idle).
Could this be a good tool/method of setting the pump shot differential MAP table values? Just adjust the values until the idle doesn't sway so bad. There is still the 40, 60, 80 kpa values for a more aggressive engine load and the throttle position differential vs pump shot to make adjustments with under cruising conditions.
I guess the clutch is an engine loading device which could be used with a WBo2 sensor to do some fine tuning, anybody have any opinions?
