250ns and pocket programmer

i just bought the pocket programmer 2 and i have a 89rs. i tried to copy the bin from my stock chip and burn it. it worked for a day, but then the car started to act like it lost fuel for a second. every now and then it would just seem like i lost fuel or spark. then the car just died and wouldn't start. is this chip fast enough or coudl it be a defective chip. ill try to burn another chip.

Sounds like you have a problem with either the chip itself (ZIF socket or the pins losing contact with the ECM), or the ignition module inside the distributor is about to die. I think that chip you have should be fast enough, but it wouldn't hurt trying another one...
