question on VE tables after camshaft install.
I am new to PROM burning so please forgive me. I am wanting to install a LT4 HOT cam in my L98, but from reading posts on the board, I know my MAP sensor will go crazy? My first question is, is it hard to go in and change the VE tables without messing anything else up? Also, might there be anything else I would need to change/adjust for the differences in vacuum, etc? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I know the mechanical part of Chevy very good, but the computer end is tricky for me. Thanks guys.
if unstable vacum is a problem then install a vacum resivor inline to yr map. itll make the map react a little slower but will smooth out some of the intake reversion. its worked on a couple of cars ive worked on so it might help you or not. depends on how much reversion and overlap you have. but heys its worth a try. ive used the vacum bulbs out of lincoln town cars with great sucess the 88-91 5.0 lincolns had a steel coffecan looking vacum can that also works well.
Here is the easiest way to get your VE tables close.
1-Buy Tunercat
2-Buy a cheap laptop
3-Buy a cable and Datamaster from AKM
4-Download VEmaster
5-Do a search on these items/software to see how to use VEmaster
