Old tune , fresh engine
Well i can personally verify that your old requirements with a fresh eng may change drastically one u have it freshened and or rebuilt :-( (it never ends does it?)....Since rebuilding and reinstalling the eng in my formula (cleaned up with a hone) my fueling requirements seem to have changed drastically and i have gone over timing, vacuum leaks, fuel pressure,etc.. its all done right and she is running good..................
but like has been said here, i can lower my iac counts a good deal farther than the old engine and also my car has taken quite a drastic lean to the rich end of the scale, while before it was no where near perfect my BLm's would he in the very high teens to the mid 120 range and now are ending up near 110-112 blm in the same area...
Some of this i know is in part to the new inj, having upgraded from stock 22# to svo 24# but doing a few calculations(very quick) it looks like they are adding to the problem(obvioulsy) but not quite explaing all of the extra fuel that is present other than the fact that the engine is fresh...........
So just posting this to see who else has has similiar experiences when rebuilding the same combo, cam'heads/intake(same as before rebuild)

Well i ended up bumping the inj constant to 24.1 to accomodate the new injectors and that cleaned up my lite part throttle blm's. which are now into the 120ish range at cruise. so making progress again slowly but surely..........
As i figured the inj constant change made almost no difference in my extreme idle richness or my closed throttle coast down and have had to make the appropriate changes in those tables along with advancing my idle timing have definitely made a dent inot getting her running good again at the lite throttle and idle areas
Im still amzed at the amount of fuel that i have had to pull out in the low end of my VE tables..incredible when u compare it to a stock bin
oh well my two cents for now and how goes my prom burning experiences :-) one chip at a time
