VE Tuners check this out

Hey guys..

My car is an 85 Iroc-z, I've been through 2 ecm swaps, from the original '870 to the '165 to the '730 I'm running now. So needless to say I'm new to SD (and very much enjoying it). I decided to attempt to make my VE tuning job just a little bit easier, so I've come up with an Excel spread sheet using Traxions method of dividing the existing BLM by 128 to get the desired BLM.

Here's a screen shot:

Basically in the first clear block you enter your existing VE tables, then in the second clear block enter the BLMs your car is running for that VE table at a given RPM and Kpa.

What you will end up with is the multiplier (result of BLM divided by 128) and a chart showing you the chnages to make to your VE table.

Feel free to give it a try and give any feedback if there are some changes that need to be made.

I apologize if im repeating someone elses work, or this is just lame. I figured since I spent a few minutes of my time on it i might as well contribute and see if It helps anybody.

if you are using tuner car & Data master there is a program that automatically does this for you. if not this is probably the next best thing. Good work!

if you are interested it is called VE Master. George just did an update, here is the address to his site. http://home.attbi.com/~jgeorger/vemaster/

Nice proggy,
I started to make a very similiar proggy. I was working more with the INT . I have my BLM's locked at 128 for finer tuning.

I was trying to setup up a templet or macro so I could just open a DBF file and then enter my current VE values and excel would display the VE changes needed.

I made a revision last night i can upload if anybody really cares.. it didn't get much attention so If someone wants it let me know, basically it just expands the Kpa's and such for the entire table (the other one I had just made for myself int he area I was working) the new one has everything.

between that and my .csv logs from craig moates software VE tuning is a breeze, last night I managed to tweak my entire VE table(s) with GREAT results vs my old method of basically tuning 1 cell at a time.

Now i go pull about a 2 meg data log of random driving events and then I make necissary changes.

After doing that 2 or 3 times the VE table is VERY close.

Another neat little trick with excel like you mentioned is macros, I have macros to clean my scan logs down to
RPM
BLM
INT
KPA

then they color code the columns for refference as i move lower in the spreadsheet.

Much thanks to craig for making my life so easy

You mean the maf table?

There really is no easy and quick way to play with MAF tables....

If someone feels they can feel more than welcome to hack up the spreadsheet for your own use, Just unprotect the spreedsheet, it isn't passworded.
