Ever see a 165 (or any other) go into limp mode while driving, then pull itself back out?

I'll get solid check engine, and like. the thing will be a pig. won't accelerate hardly (seems like no timing?) nothing.. Shut down, restart. No blink on the check engine to verify prom is good. Start, solid check engine. No codes, etc.

Will continue driving, check engine will come out and it will run normally again. This happens once and a while.

Another. oddity, is while idling. the tach will DROP TO ZER0, from like a 700rpm idle. But the engine doesnt stall, it will hardly hickup (but will hickup a little).. Weird.

I was thinking a bad solder int he socket, btu it shouldn't pull back out of limp should it?
