creating a deff. file

ok, I have asked a few question similare to this before and was lead to the bench setup to create one from scrach. but, now my question is could I take an aftermarket chip and compare it to the stock one to see what they changed?

If all you're going to do is compare an aftermarket chip vs stock, don't waste your time. It's a joke. There are like 2 things changed in an "aftermarket" eprom. Do a search for it, you should be able to find a post I did displaying the actual differences and how it was just dumb. They didn't even do it right.

Yeah, I looked at a 'stock' BIN and a 'Commercial Performance' bin yesterday. You know how many differences there were? 2. Two bytes were different. And for that they're getting how many $? Wild...

Not to bad-mouth the commercial performance chip makers or anything...
