Have my 87 GTA bin file, but need...
Hi all!
Great reading I've been doing in this section! Thanks for all that have contributed!
Now... I removed the stock chip from my 7165 ECM from my 1987 GTA with 305 TPI engine. I have read the chip to get the stock ABUS bin file...
After reading all kinds of stuff, I have dicovered that many of the tables were set to crap specs by GM. My question: Does anyone have a "corrected" bin file for an 87 305 TPI that I can use as a base instead of starting with my stock bin file?
The car has a Crane 2032HR cam, 1.6 Roller Rockers, SLP cold air, 22# injectors, headers, 3 in cat back, SLP runners, ported plenum, etc.... I know it is doubtful that anyone would have the "perfect" bin for this setup, but I'm hoping to get a closer start than stock!
Thanks to anyone that can assist!

Hmmm... ok. Anyone got a HyperTech bin file or something better than stock to start with at least?

- There's no such thing as a generic 'corrected' BIN file.
- Hypertech is no better than stock
Once you understand the above two statements then you will be well on your way to learning how to program PROMs. The latest GM code is the best place to start. On the MAF cars that I have helped to tune I started with the $6E ARAP file (which is also a cold start injector delete - just unplug the injector for now). The timing might be a little bit aggressive for your setup but that's easy enough to fix.
