29C256 vs. 2732A vs. 29C040A

On a 730 ECM, will any of these chips work? I'm trying to get into programming my own chips and am trying to figure out what all i need.

goto the stickys uptop and read traxions intro to prom burning also youwill need either 27c256 or 29c256 with a moates adapter unless you are *** and can successfully unsolder the gm chip form the memcal without destroying it. and i mean you need to be ***.

Go with the 29C256. The 2732A won't work. The 29C040A can be made to work, but takes effort / special adapter. The 29C256 drops in and is elec. erasable; is what I use in `165, `730 apps.

27C256-90 chips will work, but you need a UV eraser.
