Nasty bog at 2000 with 1/2 throttle or more...
I did the mods in my sig with little sucess. The car idles like crap....well anyway took it out again for a drive and if I give it a little throttle it will pass 2k alright....but if I give it anything close to 1/2 or more it will bog at 2k and then backfire at 3k. I really am goning to give up...I hate this car so much right now......help!!
Did you assemble the engine?
Is the cam out of time? Did you overtighten a rocker causing a valve to stay open all the time?
Not doubting your ability but accident happen?
Is your IAC working ok and set correctly? What kind of timing are you running ? Did you happen to change balancer,GM made two different balancers that had timing marks like 17 degrees apart.
Are you backfiring through exhaust or intake? And is it only when you initially hit the gas or anytime after 1/2 throttle.
Try to be as specific as you can.
Is your scan tool reading any codes? Is there a chance you are running in Limp Home Mode?

You have changed the entire induction system, cam, rockers, heads, exhaust . . . along with de-screening the MAF. Check all the mechanicals first, timing, fuel pressure, spark plugs & wiring. Then take the tuning one part at a time, idle, low speed then work into the higher RPM ranges. You will need to touch everything from idle speed, to MAF tables to SA tables.

I did all the work myself and mechanically I believe the engine is sound. I adjusted the valves twice with the engine hot and running. I am using a Fluidampr balancer and the timming was set by ear to get the car running and then I set it at 8 degrees with the light. NGK plugs and MSD wires are brand new and gapped correctly. Fuel pressure is at 43psi. See the problem is I have all the tools like the scanner and the burner and the bin editor but I really dont know exactly what to do. I modified the MAF tables to get the idle at 128 and the injector constant is set at 31.5 for the 30lb Ford injectors. I set the desired idle to 800 in the table but it shakes and hunts. I have adjusted the IAC and the TPS a number of times with no luck. Part throttle BLMs are in the area of 125-133. But WOT is a mess and it seems like it misses at idle and it wont hold a steady rpm. There are no vac leaks. I have an excel file of a scan I did before I modded the bin if you would like I could email it to anyone interested. I have no Idea how to get rid of a bog tho.....and the PE tables, I have no idea what to do there. I have been looking for a MAF artiicle one how to do this stuff but its all for MAP......Anyone know of a place in IL I can take it to get looked at...put on a WB O2 and get this thing running right.......help!!
if your willing to experiment try the $32b bin. there a sticky uptop on how to tune with it. if thats not enlgithening enough then email me.

I am willing to try anything right now........If you can hold my hand and guide me through the tunning with the $32 it would be much appreciated. I need lots of help. If its not to much to ask could you send me an email with the bin I need for my engine, the editor and hopefully a write up on what to do first..... Thanks!!
