scan tool won't connect

I am about to order everything I need to start burning my own proms, my question is I can't get any scan tool to read what my car is doing since my swap. went from 305tbi to 350 tpi, the car is a 91 rs. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

check to make sure your pinout for the aldl link is correct you may also have to check thre aldl connector itself gm moved the data pin a few times over the years.

does anyone know which pin is the data link coming out of the ecm to the aldl. I figure I will need to bypass or switch it around. The computer is from a 91 sd l98. Checked in the Helms manuall last night but couldn't find anything. Thanks for your help in advance.

It's in the electrical part that shows pinning for all the pins in the ECM.

If you are using Diacom, it will read pin M, so repin accordingly.
