Implementing Cutout position as a variable in the ECM
I'm considering buying an exhaust cutout for my car and I was thinking that since the engine responds differently to different positions of the cutout, could this be used as a parameter when calculating the fuel needed (BLMs right?) in the car's ECM. As I recall, there are a few ports (are they ports?) open on the ECM such as MAP2 and some other things. Could I wire a sensor for the cutout into one of these ports? How is this accomplished? and how would I setup the additional table for the fuel enrichment?
Thanks so much

Open exhaust and your Vol eff goes up in your cam/head selected powerband, elsewhere it might be higher or lower. That's what I've seen happen. Like Glenn said, source code and it's a reality.

How would you actually hook the voltage signal up to the ECM? Would you have to solder a wire to one of the prongs comming off of the chip (not on the actual prong, but on the wire comming off of it)

No, you'd take the signal in on an unused port on the ECM. From there you modify the code to read that port and then have it inject extra fuel, or change the timing, or whatever you want. You know what would be really cool. Make it flash the SES light when the cut-out is open too so that you can tell your passengers "uh oh, all hell is going to break loose now"
