stealth ram run at track

finally ran the car at the track with the stealth ram installed. i ran a 8.73 @ 81.2 mph with 3.27 gears. does that sound right? my blms are at 128 or so at idle. i thought i would run a little better et, but it was the same or close to last years. the mph are up by 3-4 mph. where to start tuning to run the better et's is the question. the 60 ft is 1.979.

From my experience and from what I have read, the HSR need a lot more fuel in the 4000+RPM range over stock PE tables. I haven't messed with the timing tables, but I know they will need some work. Both combined should get you some results. What is your setup and what did you run before the stealthram?

If you picked up 3-4 MPH already, you are doing very well.

i put the arap spark tables back on the bin im using and it made a huge difference in driveability and power. it was missing a little before i put these tables in. i also have changed the maf tables a little to get the blms closer at idle and part throttle after i got it relativly close with the inj. constant. im not seeing any knock at all with theses tables in place. is there a way to test the knock sensor to see if it is working properly? also, idle is a little spuratic when not in drive. any suggestions? thanks

Now that you have a baseline.
try adding a little fuel on one pass and see what the result is.

If you go faster try adding a little more, 2-3%.
If you go slower then go back to the last fuel setting and then try taking some timing out.

Always head for more fuel less timing, and then work from that. Leaning and advancing should only be done once you really know where your at.

AND READ THE PLUGS, and take notes!.
