Yes, there was a TSB on faulty programming on all 1986 TPIs. The MAF tables and O² tables were written so "tight" that they were intolerant of normal system variations, setting inadvertent SES lamps and DTCs. Also,TCC lockup points and target idle was inappropriate for the car, and those were adjusted in the factory upgrade PROMs' programming.

i have the stock chip in my hands here
i will read you the numbers on it
delco aum 8993
16055376 2 8612
on the side of the chip it has this number 16035006 8617
all i want to no if this chip is bugged if so i will order the good one tomorro
