USTR Programmer Problems

I purchased the USTR 5 programmer in December, it worked fine through march. In mid-April I went to burn a new chip, and I get this

7:38:47 PM> Programming Button Pressed
7:38:49 PM> Programming Atmel AT29C256
7:38:51 PM> *** Programming Failure ***
7:38:51 PM> *** Address:0h, Programming BYTE:10h, Read BYTE:FCh
7:38:51 PM> *** Aborting Programming - Click on [ERROR] Indicator to Reset

I thought maybe it was because I was using WinXP, so i tried it on my laptop with win98 and got the exact same responce. I have emailed USTR a couple of times, and have recieved nothing back from them. Anyone know whats up with it? is the programmer junk?

BTDT... The chip is toast.

Try a different chip. BW
