808 and winaldl

i have been using the latest version of winaldl to do some logging
but on the blm and int page it doesn't start getting data until the temperature reaches 102dC the car is a standard vn v6 commodore, ive checked the temperature in the standard file for blm lower temp and closed loop lower temp and they are well below 102dC.
thanks in advancce

Winaldl doesn't have a correct algorithm for temperature conversion on the '808. If you watch your datalog, you'll see it says you start off hot and get colder. Jonas says he'll fix it in a later version.

I just use the data logs, not the display. The RAW readings are correct AFAIK. You'll also see that the data logs don't correctly record when you're in closed loop, but the display does.

Still, it's a cool program (pardon the pun ) isn't it?

Thanks john but the new version 109c the temp does work correctly and also the road speed that didn't work before

i was just curious if it was winaldl that decided when to start putting info in the charts or it was receiving data from the computer to start it.

Thanks
Ross

Thanks for the heads-up on 1.09c. I'll give it a try and see if I get the problems you're describing.

Okay, I've loaded the 1.09c and I get a data stream just fine. And the temp works correctly like you said . It doesn't show the BLM info in the blocks though (on the BLM tab screen), and only shows two blocks with O2 results (on the O2 tab screen).

But when I select the data log option, it sucks the data out and dumps it to a log file just fine. It also shows the raw data stream fine. Will your copy do this?

yeah mine will do that, i think i found out what the problem is what happens is it dosn't start filling the blm chart until the fan switch turns on instead of when it goes in to closed loop which is when i think it should start i guess their must be a problem in winaldl for the 808 still.

Magic!

Downloaded 1.09d and for the first time I've seen the BLM table virtually fully populated This sure beats trying to sift through a spreadsheet datalog and will make VE tuning much easier.

You're a legend Joby:lala:
