I car seemed to run a bit rough on the stock aujp timing tables and after giving it quite a bit more timing, it ran a whole lot better. However, I still notice it running rough upon first starting it. I had my scanner on there and it seemed that the timing was maxed at 25deg total for awhile after starting it. Is there some sort of spark advance limiter vs. coolant table?

Not that I am aware of. The only SA limiter (again as far as I know) are these:Originally posted by PLANT PROTECTION

Code:
And they are required due to the physical constraints of the distributor.L8026: FDB 0119 ; 42 DEG, (MAX SA ADDED TO INIT TMG) ; L8028: FDB $FFF5 ; 65525d (MAX SA RETARD FOR KNOCK), 3.5 DEG
There is a closed throttle SA table. Maybe what you are seeing?
RBob.
(quick edit) this is relative to the $8D mask, used in SD TPI's.
I am running 8d also. It is limited even under throttle, so it isn't the closed throttle SA. I looked through the hack and didn't see anything. I will check at what temp or run time the limiter is lifted tomorrow, might give some insight.

I use GMECM Edit/Winbin and my own ECU. I don't have the table you speak of because the formula was weird. It is '(VAL+L8137)*9256/90)', I don't know how to add L8137 unless I use a fixed offset.
My SA seems maxed at around 26deg until 113F and the only table I found with that is the hot restart retard SA. I will mess around and see what I find.

from what i gather from what u are saying, seems that u need to find the equivelant table to that in GM/ecm and work from there.
Maybe that now that we're on the same page someoen else can chime in and clear it up for u
good luck
