TC Lockup and Unlock in 3rd and 4th

Was serioulsy playing with the Romulator for over 3 hrs straight

Im still confused? I even attempted to make massive changes to the tables involved and im still at a loss on what exactly i need to do to make the TC behave as i would like it too........

I had no luck getting any type of results....(almost like i didnt change anything)

Someone either point me to the obvious (if i missed it) or some decent posts on it?(covered everyone at tgo i've found).

Thanks
Jeremy

OK, you have speeds to look and unlock the TCC, based on 3rd and 4th gear.

Then a table that sets the max TPS that will still allow that.
and then a table for a TPS value to unlock the converter.
So you can have it lock early, at low TPS values. And then by stepping on the Throttle have it hold off shifting, until you relax the gas.

Some codes have a mandatory TCC lock up at a given high speed.

Depending on which switching you have, you can just use the 3rd or the 4th gear switches. ie to disallow the 3rd gear switch set the 3rd gear lock up speed to above the 4th gear lock up.

In some apps., you can just use the 3rd gear settings, and set the 4th gear stuff to like 100.

Might set the lock and unlock MPH vs TPS setting to the same entries, and then you can feel the TCC hunt back and forth to see what your trying to AVOID.

Yes, it sounds convoluted until ya get it figured out.

Thats going to be resolved the next chance i can con my gf into driving my car for me some more while i tune lol...

I was trying to swing the tables both ways to see what happened and i basically got was a no change result so i will again try and hopefully be successful in dissecting the tables. The GTA being mostly stock doesn not irritate me in particular, but i want to crack it for when i get the Formla roadworthy once again. The Vigilante high stall converter gets irritating when it goes from 3k to 2.2k locking up under middish throttle lol

thanks again
Jeremy
