See Pe Q On Yellow 73

i have a similar question.
i am tuning the ve tables with tunercat and winaldl. To tune 3600-4000-4400 one must disable TPS/PE to prevent the add on for TPS vs PE.
Question 1 is is there not also an add on for MAP/PE that also needs a disable?
Question 2 is when i diable TPS/PE by setting at 98% i am able to tune 3200-3600-4000 on x way in level area in 3rd gear(5 speed) and still stay legal at 70+ mph. now to get to 4400 rpm on same stretch is a lot faster which is no big deal but would that run the motor dangerously lean if tables(VE2) off at 4400rpm? or should i add xtrra to VE2 before running 4400rpms.
Question 3 is it desireable to tune 4000 and 4400 rpms wilth PE disabled? is that what knowledgable tuners do?

Since you mentioned VEII I'll assume your talking about a 7747, or 8746.

VEII is used all the time. It is an adder to the VEI table.
Of you run out of range with the stock VEI table then you can increase VEII. But, again, you need to watch your duty cycle. It's real easy to get the wrong combo., and wind up trying to run the injectors in a range where they are erratic.

I don't like disabling PE.
For any reason.
It just about guarantees you being too lean when you might have to use it.

Typically I'll add 4% to the VE table in the 70K/Pa range thur all the RPM ranges over 2,000 RPM, then 6 in 80, 8 in 90 and 10 in the 100 K/Pa.
Then spend all the time needed to get the 40-50-60 ranges dialed in.
No with the lower ranges dialed in you'll have a good idea of what amount of fuel trim is needed.
Now with the PE TPS enable at like 60-70% work on the 70-80, and if possible 90 K/Pa ranges.
Then with all that done, sit a study exactly what's gone on, and look to see if the peak torque range has actually moved. With a min now done of at least thur 80 K/Pa and knowing what the origina values were, you can fill in the missing blanks.

Then, you can enrichen the WOT fuel by .5 and start working on your WOT fuel and timing. I'd also suggest taking 4d of timing out of the 100K/Pa column at the higher rpm.
Again, it's just safer to start rich and low on timing then lean with too much timing.
