I dont think Ive ever run into anything that has given me this much trouble. Seems like there are strong forces conspiring against me running FI hehe

Check the heavy pink wire going to the coil. See if it has power during crank.

I agree, I was thinking your car may be possessed. Just in time for Halloween!

it has power, thats the same wire coming from the ignition switch right? I tested that at the ignition switch before too

I dont know what else to test.

Time for ano-scope and start probing ALL pinouts. It's hard to believe you're having this much trouble.
Run a stock eprom and make certain under cranking that the ecm is seeing a ref pulse. That's all I can think of. If it is, it should be firing the injectors so long as the code doesn't have a set AFR of like 20:1, lol

Hmm, seems that way. It comes down to the ECM needing to see the DRP's in order to enable the fuel pump relay during crank.

We know that the ECM enables it for the 2 seconds when the key is only turned on (no crank). So, what happens if the key is quickly turned from off to crank? Does it still give the 2 seconds of fuel pump relay? If so then it becomes a lack of DRP problem. Maybe the ignition module is bad.

If the fuel pump relay enable dies as soon as it cranks, then it is a power problem. Maybe even a grounding issue.

The testing may need to be done differently. When you checked the power at the coil during crank was the wire open, or was it still connected to the coil? It may be when the coil (a load) is attached the voltage won't be there.

ah just when I thought there was nothing left to check you hit me with some more good ideas.

When i checked the power to the coil it was with it open.

I think I am going to try turning the key quickly from off to crank like you suggested and see if it still energizes for two seconds. Thats a good idea.

thanks Rbob

I found my problem. I checked everything and just for kicks and giggles I cracked open the case to check the transistor and found a solder trace had burnt through. I fixed that and checked the transistor just to make sure and threw it back in the car and it works fine now. Only thing is it doesn't pulse the pump on for 2 sec. It just comes on with the ignition and stays on. Prolly somthin else on the board got fried or somthin.

Ah yes, good possibility the transistor failed shorted. The ones I've seen always failed semi-open, but you never know. Note that there are two transistors in that circuit. It could be either.
