I have a the 165 ecu and Craig Moates adapter...

My stock chip is a 27C128 (16K x 8) and I am burning the exact same information on to a 27SF512 (64k x 8) chip. Using the 27SF512 chip, I switch the igintion key on and the fans start running. Also after the car has been started it idles really high and doesn't drop at all.

I swapped the stock chip into the adapter and it ran totally fine, so the adapter is working correctly. I remember reading something about when burning on bigger sized chips, the start and end device needs to be configured....?

I couldnt find any answers to my problems searching, Im stumped.

Any Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

In the programer software did you set the start of device to C000 hex ?

No i did not... I went through and changed it, now it works like a charm. Thank you
