VeMaster problem please help!
I am having trouble with vemaster. When I run it the file it changes cannot be opened by tunercat. It gives me the message "Selected source file is either corrupt or an unrecognizable format" I have yet to get it to work. I am running it on a datamaster "free" log file. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it?
Thanks,
Charlie

You are trying to open the file that tells you the changes that VEMaster made.
When you select a bin to run VEMaster on, VEMaster saves those changes under the same bin name.
Example.
Datamaster file = test drive
Bin File = first try.bin
process Vemaster
new bin file = first try.bin
VEmaster file = first try changes.VEM (not sure of the file type and am too lazy to find my laptop and look)
so to save myself the aggravation you are going through, I make a copy of the bin and rename it before I run VEmaster.
Example:
first try.bin
first try1.bin
first try2.bin
etc
etc
for each time I run VEmaster on a bin I'm using. That way I can always go back if a chip doesn't burn or the laptop crashes, etc, etc, etc.
I also rename my bins for what I changed. If I am messing with my PE settings, I'll copy and rename my base bin to PE Changes.bin or something cheesy like that. Then I can always go back to the original, or back up one step if a change doesn't work right.
Good luck

Rename your file from xxx.Bin to xxx.bin
Capitialization makes a differance.

No, I am trying to open the same TC file not the log file. I am not having any luck getting it to work. The file opens fine, I run VeMaster and it won't reopen and gives me the alert.
Thanks though,
Charlie
I can send someone the files if you would be willing to look at them.
