problems with Winaldl

I have been trying forver to get Winaldl running on my laptop but i cant get it. Does my computer have to have internet explorer to run the program? when i double click on it the hour glass pops up but nothing happens. This is a last resort because this will probly get locked. Thanks

You don't need IE to run Winaldl. And I haven't seen a moderator lock a relevant question like this, so stop worrying .

There have been a couple of good threads on this lately, one started by Kyl98- have you done a search?

There are also some trouble shooting guides on the 'net (like this syty site here). I think one of the cable sites (Andrew Mattei's? (sp?)) has a good trouble shooting guide. I initially had troubles with the correct com port settings and the classic infra red port interference.

What cable, computer, coms port configuration, ECM, etc are you running?

John

JohnL,

I just installed Winaldl on an IBM thinkpad 760EL, and I had some significant trouble getting it to work. It's a glorious feeling when that sucker comes to life. Here's a link to the thread ->*Click*

I do all my logging on a 75mhz pentium with 23meg of ram. Been going for 2 years now. Even did some real time tuning and winaldl logging at the same time.

I don't think it is the processor speed holding you back.
