Tcc ?????????????????
Ok
I understand the lock/unlock tables, thats fairly easy, no big mystery's there.
The mph lockup/unlock is self explanatory as well..
My question is does the mandatory tcc lock(constant) override everything else?
My experience has shown this too be true regardless of what u "think" u have in the unlock tables for low and high gear?
Currently i run with my converter locked at 38 and unlocking at 36mph and have the converter locked using code to make it stay locked unless mph condition or TPS unlocks it...
Great for highway but somewhat less than desirable around town. It no longer unlocks the converter when brakes applied(equally annoying w/out code changes(using stock code) and running a higher stall converter like i am(28-3000range).
Is it possible to turn the mandatory tcc lock into a mandatory tcc unlock below a certain mph? If below 50 mph and brakes applied unlock tcc? Yet retain lockup under normal decel conditions(eng braking)?
Im not yet code enlightened enuff to make this possible by myself (assuming it is possible?) Wondering if anyone else has played around with this same scenario? I'm sure i cant be the only one that finds it annoying
Yes, I do have a switch for unlocking the tcc, but im more of a set it and forget it kind of guy dont like flipping switches and remembering what i have on and off :-)
Thanks and later
Jeremy

Anyway, if you push on the brakes the power should be disrupted to the TCC. The ecm grounds the TCC solenoid to apply it.
