TunerPro Datalogging help..plus??

Help please..??

I have put a few of mods in my car and now it spark knocks when the load is too high. Lean/Rich O2 codes all the time. I assume is timing.... I have made the 8192baud cable. I am using TunerproRT for my data logging. I need to burn a chip for the car and have nothing yet but the cable and this program. I don't really understand most of the number of whats going on inside the tables but, I will catch on fast. I am taking a lot of data so I can understand more of what the ecm is doing before I jump in there and screw things up. Is there a way to take the *.adl file and convert to txt...??? I want to be able to make my own graphs in excel.

Also when the time comes in actually altering the program......
What exactly will I need...??
I think the flash prom is the way I need to go. We have to pass emissions here once a year to get tags.
I have been reading articles on these posts and have a hard time understanding what exactly I'm going to need.

One more question..
I have headers on the motor. The converters guts are missing(don't know what happen it was there 45k miles ago) and I have a 1 stage muffler on er.
Any tricks maybe on getting her to pass emissions like this...??
The tags run out the end of this month and I have never gone thru emissions with this car.

no, you cannot *yet* export the log to a text file. next major release (4.0).

stickies at the top of this board outline exactly what you need to burn, but they're getting outdated. Moates offers a $75 burner and chips.

Put a new cat on it. Thats the easiest way to pass emissions. Trust me, I've tried to do it with a bad cat.

okay... I was brain storming(look out)....
What about this on the emissions thing.
ok...the cat has a tube inside which has air blown in from the smog pump to help burn gases...."RIGHT"

Why couldn't I............(ready for this)....
-Get one of those little Oxy bottles used for those $40 mini acyedlne sets.
-pipe that into the hose under the hood
-just before I go thru the little test thing, turn it on a slow flow rate

This would take air that normaly blows at 24% o2 from the smog.
Increaseing it to 98% that goes into causing it to lean the crap out of whats coming out of the back end.

Regardless of howrich it is, the oxy would lean up the mixture.
Just hope dude ain't smokin a cig.

Feel free to tell me if this is the worst idea ever. But, please support your reasons why it wouldn't work.
Remember im not a chemist major too...

We'll instead of pure oxy you could just run compressed air, that would be safer. But with the right tuning you shouldn't need to do that. My 406 can pass a tailpipe test with no air pump, egr, or cat.

The bad thing is i'm not going to get the prom tunned before the end of the month when the tags expire.
And when i'm warming car up. It leaves black soot on the ground behind me. I think its a little rich. So I will prey when I goto the emissions building and plug up thier machine for the day..:lala: :lala:
Wish me luck...!!!
