Cam Slection & Programing ?
Ok I am Getting ready to put a 350 in place of the Tried and true 1985 305. I am Buying a Gm Performance LM1. This is going to Put My Tpi on this engine and Tune with a prominator, Question is I want a decent cam that will work With the stock heads, springs, Ect. That I won't have too many problems tuning a .Bin For. Here are the engine Specs. I am also running a T-5 For the tranny.
Engine Name: 350 LM1
Horsepower: 249 HP @ 5,000 RPM (With The Stock Cam That I want to change.)
Torque: 304 Ft/Lbs @ 3,500 RPM
Compression Ratio: 8.50 to 1
Block: NEW 4 – Bolt, 2 Piece Rear Seal, 4.000” Bore
Heads: Cast Iron, 76cc
Valves: 1.940” / 1.500”
Crankshaft: Cast Nodular 3.480” Stroke
Camshaft lift: 0.390” / 0.410” Hydraulic Duration @ 0.050”: 195° / 202°This is the cam it comes with that I want to get Rid Off before I drop the engine.
This cam will only be used Untill Next Year when I do the AFR195 Heads,A better Cam, And Stealth Ram Swap. Also What Size injectors should I go With So that I won't have to repalace When I do the head ,cam, Intake swap Later down the road. Will 24lbs or should I go Bigger.
I will also Be doing a 165' Swap From the slow 870 That it has Now.

yes it is that cam is way small though you would be much beter of spending the the 100 bucks (50 for springs and the rest for a tool and keepers and stuff) but if you want i think you can use the cam out of a 85 vet
