Seems a little past April 1 for this. . .

unreal. never thought i'd see the day.

sounds like Tim is getting out of anything/everything related to f-bodies, DIY PROM, ...

someone is going to get a simply insane deal on his car and equipment too.

lets hope tim's calendar is about 9 days behind! if not - best wishes with whatever the future holds, and don't be a stranger...

It's not an April fools joke.

This has been stewing in my head for awhile now. Discussed it with my wife, my best friend, and other close f-body friends. The car turned out exactly as I originally wanted ... 7 years ago when I bought it. But, now it is 7 years later and I am 7 years older and want something different. The project is basically over for me. Time to pursue another project. I already have something in mind but I won't be talking about it until it is imminent. It's been a wonderful journey. I've asked Dirk and the admins to choose another moderator for DIY-PROM. There is absolutely no point in me moderating if I don't even have the stuff to program chips anymore. Unfortunately, I have no idea where Glenn is either. He just dropped off the face of the earth about 6 months ago. If any of the senior members are interested in moderating just let me know since I can put in a good word for you.

Tim

I have wanted to be a moderator for diy-prom forever but already been told (when I rejoined)that I'll never be a mod at tgo.Guess I'm just lucky to be forgiven for the past. So I'm not asking for anything . Just always figured I could take a load off of you by taking care of the usual questions and stuff. NEVER thought you wouldn't be here anymore.

I really wonder what happened to Glenn DIY-PROM use to have two mods and now there is zero:werd:

Tim,
I think I can relate. I am happy how my car has turned out. I have been debating other interests as well. Do you live near the water??
Good luck and have fun in what you decide!
Thanks for all your help on this board. You have been top notch.

Happy easter to all.

What a loss! Thanks for all you've done here Tim- there must be lots of people like me here who had the DIY-PROM task demystified by your clear articles and posts. You'll be missed

You can't sell your PROM burning gear with the car though- it ought to go into the DIY-PROM Hall of Fame .

Tim, where ya going? If I didn't have 2 3rd gens already, you'd have a sale....

You're gonna be missed terribly, and I hardly know you.

Good luck in your future endeavors, whatever they may be.

I don't think I've helped anyone here on the diy-prom board, but I have been here reading a lot and know the value Tim has been in helping others learn to tune their cars.

Tim, why don't you just quit your real job and open up a dynoshop and just tune for a living. J/K

I hope you have as much success at you next enterest as you've had at this one.

Steve

P.S. I second the quote at the top of my post. I just built a new garage we could turn into a diy-prom musem.

Damn...if only the car had been put up for sale in March! I had the money then.

I'm talking to the wife tomorrow to see if I can sell one or more of my current cars. I've LUSTED after that car of yours, Tim.

It's not the loss of your car that will be bad for TGO, though, it's the possible loss of your expertise.

I'll let you know if I get anywhere with the wife.

Tim,

Thanks for all the years of helping us lowly wannabe tuners good luck in the next phase of your life, it competely understand why you made the descision, actualy abotu a year ago, i got really burnt out on my car, and just didn't touch it for 6months, i have a little bit of energy back now, but there were a couple of times where i was pretty ready to sell it. Good luck with the new project, it would be nice if you swing in every now and then, and keep us all in the loop with it.

Tim, you have helped me immensely with my PROM tuning efforts and your Super_AUJP is a great contribution to any success I've had with this. Your innovative, no-nonsense approach is something that I can appreciate. Whatever your next project turns out to be, I'm sure you'll reach the goals that you set. Thanks and best wishes from us DIY-PROM noobs..........

And there ya have it! I am officially not a moderator anymore. Congratulations to RBob and 3.8TransAm! I'll be poking my head in from time to time but you can probably expect me NOT to be really posting those thought provoking questions anymore.

RBob - HUGE thanks to you for all you have done in my quest for understanding of source code. Your help on the IAC stuff, WOT Fueling, O2 sensor mV constants, etc. has been absolutely invaluable.

Later!

Tim

This is a big loss for all DIY-PROM'ers.

But good luck with your new project TRAXION, whatever it is.
