To make things more interesting I checked four $8D bins, two f-body and two y-body, one auto and one stick each and found that none of the four matched code-wise any other.
From what I could tell the calibration table locations matched, but there were code differences.
I've found the same with $88 mask and $A1 masks. Same cal table locations, with code changes over the years. Interesting. . . then the $32 & $32B stuff. . . Crazy I tell you, just crazy. . .

To give proper credit where credit is due ...
Scot Sealander shed light on it for me. I did my best at the time to track it down and spent tons of time pouring over the stuff. I was in the right location ... but I just couldn't read the code right. Scot pointed it out to me and showed me that it was right in front of me. Yet another situation where someone had to make sense out of a piece of assembly I was looking at.
