Hi

Today I helpt a friend with his car ( corvette 1991 auto ).
We did som chips ( 3 so far ). I then made a 4th chip and the "SYS" "light" came on, plus the fans stoped working??. Ok. A bad chip I tought. But now when I put the orignial ship back in I still get a "sys" and no speedo ?? I can still scan the ECM with datamaster, so I dont think the ECM is toast?

Whats happend?

Thanks...

Unplug the ecm.
Holding it flat in one hand, kinda/sorts clap your hands. Just one or twice, and reinstall.

Were you drinking coffee out of a stryoform cup at the time?.

For the original chip to give up is kinda rare.

BTW, the ecm slap is for just say a lose hair with a static charge on it shorting something out.

You need to stand on one foot ONLY while you do this.
Otherwise the stray electrons may respond to coriolis force in the northern hemisphere.
I've had that happen to me several times when I stood on both feet.
