I modified VE PhD to be easier to use
I spent the better part of this last Saturday trying to make Craig Moates' VE PhD work for me. I set up the vephddat file like it says in this thread . However, I got BLM multipliers of either 1.0 or about 0.4.
I realized that in the vephddat file, I should set BLM 2 and INT 2 to the same columns as BLM 1 and INT 1 (as opposed to zero, like the above thread says) since I don't have split BLMs. When I did that and ran VE PhD, I got a new VE table that was pretty close to what I got by going through the datalog by hand.
While I was messing with the Excel files, I made some other changes. The biggest change is that you can copy your lower and upper VE tables directly from Tuner Cat into the VE Calculator spreadsheet. You can also copy the new VE tables directly back into Tuner Cat. (Or so I assume--I haven't actually tried to paste anything into Tuner Cat tables, yet.)
Check out this website that I made to download a ZIP file with all of the VE PhD stuff and to see all the changes and what to do. I got VE PhD from Craig Moates' website and I just made that website above on my school's server. They filter everything so there shouldn't be any viruses.

Thanks. It's nothing big, but I thought it would save people the time of tailoring the Excel files. Unfortunately for me, I have my VE tables very close to 128 everywhere by now, so I won't be using VE PhD a whole lot.
In the future, though, I want to explore running the car in open loop, not necessarily at 14.7:1. Maybe I can make the program look at the air-fuel ratio instead of BLM and output the VE changes needed to get to a desired air-fuel ratio.
