moates APU1

I am new to prom burning and have 2 questions that I did search for and can't find awnsers:

1 I am using the moates APU1 (same as aps1 but USB) and have the G2 adapter installed, Using tuner pro rt I copied my origional chip and then burned a copy on a AT29C256 chip, when installed the car starts just fine but my SES light flashes, I never drove it or gave it any gas, it I installed my origional chip the SES light went out, What an I doing wrong?

2 Anyone ever used Winaldl with Craig's hardware, is it possible?
Just asking cus I am used to winaldl for data logging but my laptop doesn't have a serial port.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks
Ryan

burned a copy on a AT29C256 chip
You need to either double up the binary file or burn the bin to the uper half of the chip. The AT29C256 are double the original size of your original chip 32k vs 16k.

TunerPro has the utility to "stack" your bin. Just make sure you setup the block sizes to correspond to what you are doing.

Here is the configuration for stacking a 16k bin onto a 32k chip(AT29C256)

Make sure your checksum is correct (by opening the bin in TunerPro and re-saving it).

If your bin is 4k, set the chip size to 32k, block size to 32k, and bin size to 4k. Then do the stack. Burn to your 29C256, and you're good to go.
