how does one come up with a new timming table? how do you figure out if the motor likes more/less timming? if its not knocking? or do most poeple just use the timming table that came with the .bin ?

Stop watch, G-tech, 1/4 mile. U need something to measure acceleration with and a way to datalog knock counts :-)
Can use some "butt" feel here but SOTP can get u in trouble so u need some kind of documentable increase.
Best performance with least amount of timing si what u want

This is the method of choice for WOT spark. For idle spark, the timing is right when the engine idles smoothly and pulls the most vacuum. For part throttle spark, maintain a constant TPS on a flat road and adjust spark for the most MPH at various loads. As stated, use the least amount of timing to achieve best performance. HTH
